Chanel Rouge Coco Shine No 437 Empreinte

Another Summetrime de Chanel 2012 review! Rouge Coco Shine in Empreinte is a limited edition shade from this collection.

It's a lightly scented, sheer beige tint with gold micro-glitters. And when I say sheer, I mean sheer. Even when I applied a heavier coat it hardly made a difference. I liked it when I swatched it on my arm and loved the color when I wore it on my lip because it enhanced its natural color. But that's the only good thing about this product.

10 coats and 2 coats

I really wanted to love this because the color was unique. However, the wear time isn't great. In my case it would only stay put for an hour and couldn't even survive through a cup of tea.

Another thing which disappointed me was this wasn't moisturizing nor was it drying. It just did nothing. Heck, my EOS lip balm feels way better on my lips compared to this product.

This was a huge disappointment for me because the other Chanel lip products I own last for a very long time and make my lips feel ultra-moisturized. I expected more from this apart from the lovely color.

Since this was my first Rouge Coco Shine, I'm not entirely sure I would purchase any other color from this line.

Have you tried other Rouge Coco Shine products and did you experience the same thing? Let's discuss! :)

  1. I'm sorry to hear about your poor experience.

There is something about these super sheer formulas that just strikes me as off when it comes to luxury brands. I can understand something like Dragon or even Insouciance, but something this sheer seems like such a waste, especially when the formula is lacking.

    1. I'm sorry myself... I expected this to be great because their lipsticks and glossimers are. Plus I've read a lot of rave reviews on Rouge Coco Shine.

  2. this is a beautiful shade!!!

Thanks for giving my blog some love ♥
